Contents page analysis 2

This contents page features the Rolling Stones. This is immediately apparent by the large clear white and ornate font of the title at the top of the page. Just above it in red is the page number of the Rolling Stone's article. The background of the image is a faded brown which clearly contrasts with the white column falling down the right side. The colour scheme is white, this faded brown, grey and hints of red. The red and white are bright and stand out against the brown and grey to emphasize the informative sections of the page and encourage the reader to read on.

The main photo features the Rolling Stones in casual and relaxed poses, this is perhaps to portray them as cool and chilled people, the kind of people you would like to know better and be friends with. The faded colour gives the photo an old-school feel, almost familar and warm which adds to the previously described effect.

The contents on the right use a simple black but decorative font to create a traditionally professional aesthetic with page numbers in red to emphasize them.

Near the bottom of the page there are two stickers/badges containing short but effective attention-seeking stories. The one on the right is on top of the white column so uses simple grey and black
